EPOMIR PTG is an epoxy paint with very high solids in weight (> 97%) for the internal lining of pipes for gas transport. During application EPOMIR PTG releases a quantity of solvent vapours in the environment nearly equal to zero totally resolving the always more pressing problems, regarding the emissions of VOC (volatile organic compounds) in the working atmosphere, protecting the environment and the operators that apply the coating. EPOMIR PTG is homologated GAZPROM, C4Gas and SNAM specification and is compliance to UNI EN 10301:2003, ISO 15741:2001 and API RP5 L2 specifications (including a 100% methanol and 100% triethylen glycol immersion test 168h).
EPOMIR PTG after complete polymerization has a glossy aspect with specular gloss ≥ 50 gloss in according with ASTM D523, and a perfectly smooth and compact surface (nearly total absence of pinholes), with an average roughness of Rz < 3,5 micron. This feature reduces friction and helps the passage of gas reducing turbulence, increasing the flow of gas inside the pipeline. This allows to use pipes of smaller diameters reducing costs of compression and maintenance (Inferior wear of the coating in exercise). The coating guarantees an excellent protection to corrosion of the pipe before installing it.
